I have been coming to Roda for fourteen years and now come for four weeks in the summer. People at school always ask, ‘do you not get bored?’ or ‘do you miss London?’, but at the age of fourteen, you cannot get bored. Roda is ideal for teenagers.
I spend most of my time on the beach whilst on holiday. There is so much to do and so many people to talk to. There is a lot of people of all ages who visit the beach, however, there is enough room for you to be able to play with the locals and then go and relax on a sun bed in the quiet.
I also love to walk along the coast which you can do from Roda to Acharavi, just a few minutes walk along the seafront. I can do this on my own as, in Roda, I receive freedom that I
would not get at home. In Acharavi, there are some lovely jewellery shops, perfect for gifts for friends & family.
There are also a lot of swimming pools in Roda, full of friendly families and with great music. I think the pool is a great place to meet English families. During the evenings, there are many restaurants where you can eat traditional Greek food. However, you find can also most English
many lively bars in Roda which are good for all ages.
I love my time in Roda because of the safety, because the locals are so great & friendly and because I have so much freedom. Roda is a very friendly place, so be prepared to meet, talk to and make friends with lots of new people, be they Greek, British, German, Italian or Dutch – friendships that last beyond the few weeks of your holiday.
